Stalk Me

Netta's Updates
Guess who?! Yuppers, this is Sailor GalindoWhite, reporting from Great Lakes, IL.
I successfully graduated Recruit Training Command at 1100 this morning and am currently enjoying the last of my liberty time at DaysInn with my Mumsie and Nony.
8 weeks later and I don't feel a whole lot different, but I've apparently changed.

I'm thinner and quieter and much more serious. narf.
I report at 0200 to Chicago O'hare Airport, and fly out at 0830 to Dam Neck, Virginia. I'll be attending technical school there for 16 weeks, sometime during which I should be able to have my trusty laptop and cellphone.

It's 1720 right now, and I have to report by 2100... But, yeah.
Not much art going on in the world of meo. I helped to design and paint our divisional flag a few weeks ago. "My" side was a mermaid (of course), the other a fist. They came out alright, considering our limited supplies and time.
We were a team of four artists, all of us from different cultures and corners of the US. We worked well together and got the job done without a hitch!
It's amazing how diverse this Navy is. I truly believe that is our greatest strength and I can't wait to join the fleet!

And I definitely can't wait to work on my degree and art.

I miss my civilian friends.

I wish so bad.

Sweet sounds of music
Fill the air like perfume,
Yet not strong enough to silence
All the sounds of the night.
Love The Beatles!

i.e. Seaman Recruit GalindoWhite, division 379. Then when they're done, you file out.
It effects everyone differently. The first row was the worse, because the gas was highly concentrated. They were coughing up and crying which just made the rest of us freak out. You could feel the effects of the gas before you even put your mask on. You couldn't see it or anything.
It didn't effect me at all for a good 30 seconds. But i got worried cuz everyone else was reacting, so i took a huge breath and fluttered my eyes til it started hurting.
The effects lasted a good 10-15 minutes after you left the chamber. Water reactivates the chemicals, so the snot and tears on your face burn for a minute.
lolz hope that answers some of your questions.
