The theological doctrine of angels, or its study.

:star:

My celestial hierarchy:

:music: Seraphim :music:

The highest order in most hierarchy schemes, literally means "fiery serpents". The seraphim surround the Throne of Glory and endlessly chant "holy, holy, holy." They are angels of light, of love, and of fire.
According to Enoch II, the seraph possess four faces, and six wings.
The ruling prince of the seraphim is given as Satan, before his fall.

:music: Cherubim :music:

Kerubim, in Assyrian, means "one who prays", though Dionysius translated it as "knowledge". The cherubim symbolise God's highest and chiefest potencies, sovereignty and goodness. They guarded the Tree of Knowledge with "fiery swords", carried His throne, and personified the four winds.
In Ezekiel (10:14) four cherubim, each with four faces and four wings appear at the river Chebar.
The ruling prince of the cherubim is given as Ophaniel.

:music: Malakim :music:

Malakim means "kings", although they are equated with the virtues, or tarshishim. The principal duty of the malakim is to work miracles on earth, and they are the chief bestowers of grace and valor. Malakim are usually depicted in a group and are often said to be His escort.
The ruling prince of the malakim is given as Barbiel.

:music: Dominations :music:
The dominations are also variously named as the dominions, hashmallim, lords, or lordships. According to Dionysius, "they regulate angels' duties and are perpetually aspiring to true lordship; through them the majesty of God is manifested." Their emblems of authority are scepters and orbs.
The ruling prince of the dominations is given as Zadkiel.

:music: Erellim :music:
Erelim (Arelim) means "the valiant ones" and they are equated with the thrones and the ishim. The erelim are composed of "white fire", and are stationed heaven, composed of 70,000 myriads (diverse elements). In The Legends of the Jews, the erelim are appointed over grass, trees, fruit, and grain. According to Dionysius, however, "It is through the thrones that God brings his justice upon humanity."
The ruling prince of the thrones is given as Zaphkiel or Michael.

:music: Powers :music:
The powers are the "Lord's Hosts", and also called potentates, authorities, and dynamis. The principal task of the powers is to see that order is kept in heaven and to stop the efforts of demons who would overthrow the world. They are also recognised as being in charge over demons, and can therefore be seen as evil.
The six highest powers have been classified as thus: divine logos, creative power, sovereign power, mercy, legislative power, and punitive power.
The ruling prince of the powers is given as Sammael.

:music: Principalities :music:
Also called princedoms and elohim, the principalities are protectors of religion, and the great observers of mankind's leaders.
The ruling prince of the principalities is given as Anael.

:music: Archangel :music:
The term archangel applies generally to all angels above the order of angel, but it also serves to designate a separate rank in the celestial hierarchy. Despite the fact that archangels are listed as the second to lowest rank of angels in most hierarchies, the greatest of angels are also named as archangels. In the Old Testament, when Daniel calls Michael "one of the chief princes", it is taken to mean that he is an archangel. In Revelation 8:2, John refers to seven angels who stand before God," and this is commonly interpreted as the seven archangels.
The Book of Enoch (Enoch I) names the seven as Uriel, Raguel, Michael, Seraquiel, Gabriel, Haniel, and Raphael.
The Koran names only two of the now known four: Gabriel (angel of revelation and Michael (the warrior angel). The other two are Azrael (angel of death) and Israfel (angel of music).
Archangels, according to theTestament of Levi, minister and make propitiation to the Lord for the sins of ignorance and of the righteous.
The ruling prince of the archangels is given as Metatron.

:music: Angel :music:

In Hebrew, malakh, in Sanskrit, angiras, in Persian, angaros, and in Greek, angelos. The angels are messengers and divine spirits, they are supernatural beings intermediate between God and man. In the early Christian and pre-Christian days, the terms angel and demon were interchangeable. The Hebrews modeled their angels from the Persians and the Babylonians: from their winged, humanlike and changeable forms, to their coronas (now halos). In Sales' edition of the Koran he states that" Mohammed and his disciples borrowed for the Jews, who borrowed the names and offices of these beings (angels) from the Persians."
An angel, though immaterial (bodiless), is usually depicted as having a body or inhabiting a body, and as winged and clothed.
The ruling prince of the angels is given as Gabriel.

So Johnny, my love, we got us a witness,
Now all we gotta do is get a preacher.
He can probably skip the until death part:
'Cause Johnny, my love, you're already dead.
I only ask because I'm a real cunt in spring,
You can rent me by the hour.

Shoutboard

Prices start at $10 USD.

You have the choice of whether you want the art to be colored digitally or traditionally: and, no, I'm not charging extra for either.
You could even choose black and white or grayscale!

If you'd like to have more than one character in a piece, however, I will charge an additional $2 for each additional person.
I do this because I find drawing multiple people challenging and a general pain in the asterisk.

Art is be in the standard 8 1/2" x 11" format.

Whichever style you choose, you will receive either the original piece or a high quality print of it (in the case of digital art) along with some special StudioMeokio goodies that I throw in for fun.

I will only accept Paypal or Personal Check as payment.

To be involved with a
commission,
please send me a note
with your proposal/idea and REFERENCES.
Unless you want me to make you something weird and Meo-full...of my own design and intention.
